Dan Rose married Rachel Tropp on Saturday, October
28, 2006 in a lovely, intimate ceremony, followed by a simply marvelous dinner at Lineage restaurant in Brookline, Mass
It's been a while since I've shared
kitty pics with you all. Smokey is now 7 years old and a little kitty diva! These photos were taken over the last few months
VEGAS, baby, YEAH! I had a really great time and cannot wait to get back there - There were some things I didn't
get to do, like Fremont street and Ethel M's - but I will make a point to get those in next time. Inspired by Vince B,
I rented a scooter for the week - that saved my vacation. There's an awful lot of walking in Vegas, let alone within the hotel.
I actually attended a talk (just so that I could say I was actually at the AG) and hung out in hospitality from time to time,
but mostly I gambled. I fed a few slot machiines, for the hell of it - and actually won a bit. I played some Blackjack
in Paris and Bally's - didn't do all that well, nor at Craps. However I did very well at Poker at the Bellagio (Look out WPT,
here I come). The Star Trek Experience was fun, but the best part of that, for me at least, was standing on "the bridge"
of the Enterprise D - totally cool. (I wish they had let us take pics inside the "rides"). I can now honestly say that
I have driven from Paris to New York. And I have proof that the Eiffel Tower can be seen from the Brooklyn Bridge.

The next morning, we had a lovely family brunch at
the hotel restaurant where we played pass the baby and I took copious photos, then Lori and I had a lovely drive home.
This April (2006) Lori and I took a little trip to visit the new
baby. It turned into a real nice vacation, with stops in Mystic, Newport, Wrentham (Shopping!!!), and Brockton (dinner with
friends). It was great to see the family and we've already made plans to do it again in 2007.

The view from our room was great, but the Strip is the Strip. The best views were out on Lake Mead and in Red Rock Canyon
(which is why there are so many pics from those two side trips) (Thanks Jay & Carla for the recommendation).
It may not sound like I did a lot - but I really had a great time. It was a fabulous week, just what I needed (including
the fabulous pedicure I treated myself to on Saturday) - and I'd do it again in a heartbeat - once I've saved up enough money...;
Anyone want to contribute? <g>
