I had a very nice summer vacation - my first real vacation style vacation (as opposed to just time off from work) in years.
I put almost 900 miles on the car, and really enjoyed myself.
Competition is over. We won "Most Improved Chorus", a well deserved honor, even if I do say so myself. All our
hard work definitely paid off. And next year, we'll even win a medal!
My Sweet Adelines chorus recently went on a retreat - a weekend long rehearsal designed to turn us into a winning chapter.
We'll know if it worked at Competition, Mother's Day Weekend

A few of my Mensa friends and I spent an afternoon playing mini golf at a beautiful course in Eisenhower Park on Long Island.
And if you think the photos in the album are pretty - you should see it in person.
Hannah is Lori's niece. We just celebrated her 2nd birthday. Click on the thumbnail to see the party.
Photos from one of the Mensa Gatherings I go to each year are in this album

The lefthand photo takes you to Smokey's Playground which, so far, keeps her off the wall unit.
The photo on the right will take you to some pix of one of my Sweet Adelines rehearsals. Now and then, we need a little
silliness as we prepare for our next competition.
